Hello All District Meet Parents!

Thank you all for signing up your swimmers to participate in the GRPA District Meet this year.  All of the coaches are excited to see our swimmers do well. Here are a few items to review in preparation for Saturday's meet:

• All District swimmers are to practice from 7pm-8pm this week (today and Thursday.)  This will give swimmers an opportunity to practice together as a team - both Marlins and Barracudas - and work on starts off of a starting block, finishes and relays.

• Thursday night social (8pm-9pm) will continue our team building and we will be making posters to bring to the District Meet.

Saturday Meet Info:

Morgan County Aquatic Center

1151 College Drive

• 10 and under arrive at 8:45am
• 11 and over arrive at 12:45pm (unless you receive a remind text that the afternoon session is delayed.)  Please make sure that you have the remind app and that you are signed up.  Text @akk88k4 to 81010
• Please send a reply to all if you need to make carpool arrangements. I'm sure that families will be willing to help.
• The aquatic center is an indoor pool facility.  It does not have bleachers for the families to view the meet.  Bring chairs, blankets for siblings etc. to view the meet on the deck. Swimmers will remain with the team and coaches.
• FYI: There is a very limited concessions truck at the meet (at least that was the case last year.)   Note: swimmers should not be eating right before their events. 
• You will receive the heat sheet as soon as GRPA sends it to us.  Likely, Friday afternoon.
• Attached is a spreadsheet with swimmers by age group with their assigned events.  Relays are on the second page.
• Also attached is the order of events for both sessions.
