The Murphey Candler Summer Swim season is just around the corner!

Here are a few reminders:

Registration

If you haven’t already registered, there is only 1 week left to register. The deadline is May 10. Register here. To avoid late fees, please register by this Saturday, May 1. The cost of registration after May 1 is $140.

Equipment/uniforms

For those who are currently registered, please remember to purchase your swim suits and fins prior to coming to practice. You may purchase them here.

Parent Information session

Save the Date - We will be holding a Parent Information session via zoom on Tuesday, May 11 at 7pm. The zoom link will be sent at a later date.

Volunteers

In order to run a well-organized meet, we are making parent volunteering mandatory at all meets.You will be required to sign-up to volunteer when you sign your child up for a meet.

Practice and Meet Schedule

Mark your calendars!

• Evening practices are at Murphey Candler Pool on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:45 pm - 8 pm.
  • 10 and under: 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm
  • 11 and up: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
• Morning practice will be available at Briarwood Pool. Days and times TBD.
• You may attend either morning and/or evening practices - whatever works for your schedule.
• We recommend that you attend as many practices as you can.
• Meets are held on Tuesday evenings except for the last meet. Warm-ups start at 4:10pm and meets begin at 5:30 pm. In the event of virtual meets, the day may change.
• The End of Season Party will be held the week of June 28. More details to come.

What to bring / what to expect on the first day of practice

• On the first day of practice, all swimmers will be assessed. They will be required to swim the length of the pool unassisted.
• Remember to bring:
  • Goggles
  • Swimsuit - wear your swimsuit to practice!
  • Fins
  • Bottle of water
  • Towel
  • Please label all belongings.
