We are excited that you will be participating in the 2022 GRPA District Meet! Please see below for important details about the meet.

2022 GRPA District Meet Information

The City of Brookhaven team (Briarwood, Hampton Hall & Murphey Candler)

Saturday, June 18

Arrival time: 7:15am

Warm-ups: 7:30am

Start time: 9:00am

End time (estimated): 12:30pm

Location: Briarwood Pool 2235 Briarwood Way NE, Atlanta, GA 30329

Parking

• Please allow extra time for parking. If parking is full on Briarwood Park Road, there should be street parking on Briarwood Road adjacent to the park.

Seating

• All teams will set up in the gym adjacent to the pool.
• Please dry off the swimmers before entering the gym/building.
• Look for Murphey Candler or Briarwood tents in the gym – they will serve as our team area.
• Parents can set up chairs near the MC tents in the gym.
• NO tents on pool deck or parking lot.
• You may watch your child’s event from the pool deck but please be courteous of others.

Concessions

• Assorted snacks, drinks and Chick-Fil-A biscuits
• Payment in cash or Venmo - @briarwoodswim

Prior to Meet

• Print heat sheets at home – see attached.

• Please make sure your child wears their team swimsuit, swim cap and team tee & their arm is marked with their events.

During the Meet

• There will be a bullpen in the area behind the competition pool.
• The Event and Heat will be posted on a digital tower by the pool.

• Spectators are welcome to watch the races from the pool deck, but please be courteous to the other spectators that would like to watch their kids and give space.

• Results will be posted near the hospitality room (Life Guard room).

Volunteers

• Volunteers should be onsite and available for any info/meetings by 8:45am.
• Please see Coach Kate Nowak or Michael Sussman to direct you toTaylor Davis, City of Brookhaven as he will be the point of contact for volunteer duties for Saturday.
• The Hospitality Room for the Volunteers will be the Life Guard Room.
• Water, breakfast & lunch will be made available on a complimentary basis to the volunteers.
