NOW OPEN - Murphey Candler Marlins Swim Team 2024 Registration

Registration for the 2024 Murphey Candler Marlins Swim Team is now OPEN!

• A registration fee of $125 and a $40 ASA membership fee brings our total registration fee to $165. *Please register early - the ASA fee will increase on April 16.
• The $125 registration fee covers the cost of coaching, pool use for practices and meets, swim cap and team shirt.
• The $40 ASA membership fee is the league fee which pays for the opportunity to compete with more teams, participate in the Championships at Georgia Tech, and for the use of the Swimtopia website. Being a part of the ASA offers increased competition and allows the MC Marlins to compete against more swim teams. As experienced last year, the variety of teams and swimmers was a nice change. Meets will be held in the Brookhaven/Dunwoody area. The season will culminate with swimmers participating in the ASA Championship at Georgia Tech.

To help you plan:

The Murphey Candler Marlins 2024 Swim Season will run from May 13 - June 27. (may run longer if swimmer qualifies for state meets)

• Practices will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.
  
  • 5:30-6:15 pm: 6 and under and beginner 7-8 year old
  • 6:15 - 7:00 pm: 7-8 year old and beginner 9-10+ year old
  • 7:00 - 8:00 pm: Advanced 9-10 year old and 11+ year old
• Practice dates:
  
  • May 13, 15, 16
  • May 20, 22, 23
  • May 27 no practice- holiday
  • May 29, 30
  • June 3, 5, 6
  • June 10, 12, 13
  • June 17,19, 20
  • End of year party- Tentative date – Thursday, June 27.
• Meets will be on Tuesday evenings either at home or local pools (Brookhaven/Dunwoody area). The official meet schedule with locations will be available in April.

  • June 24 (Monday -last dual meet)
  • Other Meets (tentative dates)
  • June 15, Saturday- The GRPA District (need to participate to qualify for GRPA State).
  • June 26 or June 27, Wednesday or Thursday (Tentative dates)- ASA Divisional at Georgia Tech
  • July 19 & July 20, Friday & Saturday- The GRPA State meet (for qualifying swimmers) will be held on July 19 (ages 10 and under) & July 20 (ages 11 and over) location TBD.

For us to host and run meets smoothly, parent volunteering is mandatory.

Please register early as space will be limited.

What you need: Team suit, goggles, fins, and a great attitude!
